Did you know that there are two pairs of bald eagles that nest on the refuge at Lake Lowell? The Friends have sponsored (Along with partners: Deer Flat National Wildlife the Refuge and the Peregrine Fund) the installation of wildlife cameras at these nests. The cameras have documented the nesting activities of the eagles for the 2015, 2016, & 2018 nesting seasons. In 2018 only one eagle pair was successful in raising a chick. Below are a few photos which depict this year’s (2018) camera results.
